Birthday Extravaganza!

Well, I had one of those days. Not only do I mega-love (which is a lot) this little guy, I was having an especially good snap-happy photo day (which I now relish). Hence, the many, many, (many), photos. From a SWEET bday cake, balloon throwing, popping (lots of) and static fun and cake eating goodness (and ~R was so kind to share with his poppa too!) -it was a very memorable day. Thanks for having us!
Love, Aunty.

the porridge experiment

Some like it hot, some like it cold. Some like it in the pot, nine days old. Apparently, this one doesn't like her grandma's low calorie Weight Control version of the breakfast. I *heart* series photos. Especially as funny as this one. The glee, the moment and the, well, outcome. Ha ha!

Mutt Shots

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I wuff them!

Sleepover

I got to steal my little nephew for a few days last week. I love him. In his own world and in my world. I am enjoying getting to know him, and watching him grow. He makes my heart pang those funny pangs that I swear only a mother knows. Mika loved to dance for him, but I don't think he noticed much. He rather tried his hand at his own tricks. Those eyes never missed a thing, and those hands and feet never stopped trying and practicing all they new and all they wanted to learn. In the words of John Lennon, Beautiful Boy. Hope to see you again soon kiddo!

Sneaking this in.

The sun really was this glorious, my heart really did sore. My drive home last Saturday evening was nice.

A Visit with Maggie.

There is nothing better than a visit with a friend you have made who makes you smile every time you think about them.

On this particular visit we had a mission- to find the *real* green egg in the chicken coop! Yes, that's right- it is no myth, I have seen the green egg in person.

From the proud rooster protecting his hens everywhere they went, to the dog behind the chain link fence licking his lips (literally, see bellow!) and the genuine green egg we collected in our basket- it was a spectacular afternoon. Good for the mind, good for the soul and good for the heart.
